Vol. 487 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

John Perry

Question:

192 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will have arrangements made to have a person (details supplied) in County Sligo called immediately for his operation in view of the fact that, when he visited the hospital on 4 November 1997, he was not examined as his file was lost in the system, an apology was issued, he was told that he would be called in early 1998 but has heard nothing to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4015/98]

As the arrangements for the provision of acute hospital treatment are a matter for the particular hospital in this case, I have asked the chief executive officer of the hospital to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
