273 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of people convicted in the courts from east Galway serving a sentence in Irish prisons or in detention centres in 1998; if any person sentenced in a local court in the past two years was held in a local mental hospital; the reason this was necessary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
