50 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources when he will publish the Marine Institute report on the practical implementation of the salmon tagging and quota measures. [3881/98]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 47 and 50 together
I formally launched the Marine Institute's technical report on the practical implementation of salmon tagging and quotas on 14 February when I addressed the Southern Fisheries Board's seminar on catchment management in the Barrow. A copy is being forwarded to the Deputies together with a copy of my speech on the occasion.
I have received a request from Coiste Iascairí Baile na nGall for a meeting to discuss the report. I will be meeting them as soon as Coiste Iascairí Baile na nGall have had an opportunity to study the Marine Institute's report which is being forwarded to them and other representative angling and commercial salmon groups around the country.
