114 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Finance when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of his claim for refund of VAT under the farm improvement scheme, in view of the fact it was submitted in October 1996. [5988/98]
I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that a claim for a refund of VAT in the amount of £231.90 was received on 22 October 1996. On examination of the claim, it was found that some of the invoices did not qualify for a refund. The taxpayer was advised of the position and a refund in the amount of £119.75 was issued to him on 15 November 1996.
