Vol. 488 No. 7

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Bernard Allen

Question:

241 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork is on a waiting list for two years for knee surgery in view of the fact that he is experiencing serious pain in his knees. [7319/98]

The question of medical treatment in this instance is the responsibility of the Southern Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
