439 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Education and Science the plans, if any, he has for the development of further and higher education facilities in County Monaghan; if he will support the acquisition of the MIFET building from the North Eastern Health Board; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Officials in the planning and building unit of my Department are in correspondence with County Monaghan VEC in relation to the accommodation requirements of the VEC for post-leaving certificate courses in Monaghan.
County Monaghan VEC has been asked to complete an educational worksheet in respect of PLC courses. Once this document is completed and returned to my Department, officials will be in a position to determine accommodation needs.
