146 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education and Science if a request for a literacy teaching allocation for the north centre city community action project in Dublin 1 can be expedited in view of the anomalous position in relation to other training workshops in that it has no literacy provision. My Department recently received an application from City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee seeking a teacher allocation for the north city community action project in respect of literacy teaching. The matter is being considered and my Department will advise City of Dublin vocational education committee and the Deputy of the decision in the near future.
