148 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science the progress made in 1998 by the group assessing the development of a psychological service; when an interim report and a final report will be tabled by the group; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7727/98]
The planning group for a national educational psychological service has held seven meetings, since it began its work in early October 1997. Four of these meetings have been held in 1998 and, in addition, a subgroup held one meeting. The planning group is working towards completing a final report which, it is expected, will be available to me later in April. An interim report is not planned.
