100 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Public Enterprise if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 135 of 2 December 1997, she will make a statement on the ongoing contact between the parties (details supplied) in relation to pension entitlements; and if a mutually acceptable arrangement has been reached. I understand that the service in dispute in this case predates the formal arrangements for transfer of credit for pensionable service. This fact complicates the situation. The State bodies concerned have not yet found a way to resolve the difficulties. I am asking them to redouble their efforts to find a fair solution.
