172 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim will be called for surgery. [8126/98]

The provision of medical treatment in this instance is a matter for Beaumont Hospital. I have asked the chief executive officer of Beaumont Hospital to investigate the position in relation to this matter and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.

173 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will have arrangements made for a person (details supplied) to be called to the Mater Hospital for an operation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8127/98]

The provision of medical treatment in this instance is the responsibility of the Mater Hospital in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive officer of the Mater Hospital to investigage the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
