145 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will have funding made available to a college (details supplied) in County Kilkenny so that work can be carried out to their electrical system, which is in a dangerous condition, thus ensuring the health and safety of staff and students in the college. [8503/98]
An application for funding to carry out works to the electrical system at the school in question was recently submitted to my Department's planning and building unit.
The school authority has indicated that a full health and safety report will be submitted in the near future and the question of funding for the necessary works will be considered at that time.
