The most recent information available to my Department is the Health Service Personnel Census taken on 31 December 1996. Work is currently under way on the December 1997 Census.
The 1996 Census indicates that there are 170.27 wholetime equivalent occupational therapists (Basic Grade, Senior, Head I and Head II) employed by the eight health boards. They are based in the following locations.
