630 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform further to Parliamentary Question No. 761 of 28 January 1998, when the strength of Carbury Garda station will be returned to one sergeant and one garda; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9343/98]
The detailed allocation of Garda personnel to individual areas is a matter for the Garda authorities. The Deputy will be aware from my previous response in the matter that the current strength of Carbury Garda station is one sergeant and one Garda. He will also be aware that the sergeant from Carbury Garda station was on temporary transfer to Rathcoole Garda station with effect from 20 June 1997. However, I understand from the Garda authorities that the sergeant in question returned to Carbury Garda station on 23 March 1998.
