Vol. 489 No. 6

Written Answers. - Court Sittings.

Charles Flanagan

Question:

634 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the date on which District Court sittings will resume at the district courthouse, Mountmellick, County Laois; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9505/98]

In January 1995, due to the poor condition of the courthouse in Mountmellick, the District Court judge adjourned sittings of the District Court at Mountmellick to Portlaoise which is seven miles away.

There are no plans to refurbish the court accommodation at Mountmellick at present.
