Order of Business.

It is proposed to take No. 6 on a supplementary Order Paper, Motion re. Allocation of Time; No. 2, Nineteenth Amendment of the Constitution Bill, 1998, Order for Second Stage and Second Stage; and No. 7, Motion re. Agreement reached in the Multi-Party Negotiations. It is also proposed, notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders, that: (1) No. 6 on a supplementary Order Paper shall be decided without debate; and (2) the Second Stage of No. 2 shall be taken today, shall be debated with No. 7 and the following arrangements shall apply: (i) the proceedings thereon, if not previously concluded, shall be brought to a conclusion at 11.30 p.m.; the separate questions thereon shall be put from the Chair forthwith and successively; (ii) Members shall be called upon in the following sequence and the speeches in each case shall not exceed the times indicated: the Taoiseach, 40 minutes; the Leader of the Fine Gael Party, 40 minutes; the Leader of the Labour Party, 30 minutes; the Leader of Democratic Left, 25 minutes; the Leader of the Green Party, 20 minutes; (iii) the speech of each other Member called upon shall not exceed 20 minutes in each case; (iv) Members may share time; and (v) the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment shall be called upon not later than 11.15 p.m. to make a speech in reply which shall not exceed 15 minutes.

There are two proposals to put to the House. Is the proposal for dealing with No. 6 agreed? Agreed. Is the proposal for dealing with No. 2 agreed? Agreed.
