Question:

263 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the recent progress in relation to the provision of the proposed second level girls school at Celbridge, County Kildare; the likely time scale for the completion of the remaining requirements prior to the signing of a contract and start up of site works; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11312/98]

Architectural planning for the project in Celbridge has been completed and tender documentation is currently being prepared.

I assure the Deputy that the project will proceed without unnecessary delay.

264 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science whether site works are likely to start at an early date for the provision of extra facilities at Scoil Mhuire, Clane, County Kildare; when it is expected the works are likely to be completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Architectural planning for the project at Clane is progressing. At this stage, it is not possible to say when construction will commence.

265 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the outcome of the review of second level educational facilities at Naas, County Kildare, with particular reference to the requirements of St. Mary's College, Naas CBS and St. Patrick's School; when he will address these requirements; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11314/98]

The projects at the schools in Naas referred to by the Deputy are at very early stages of architectural planning. At this stage, it is not possible to say when construction will commence on any of the projects.
