Burke asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands if she will acquire, for preservation and restoration, one of the last remaining intact workhouses in the country located at Portumna, County Galway, with a view to having EU and Department funding made available for its development into an interpretative centre of historical importance.
