Written Answers. - Programme Reviews.
The three areas currently undergoing expenditure reviews are expenditure on primary education, Instiúid Teangeolaíochta Éireann, on ITÉ and certain third level projects funded under the European Regional Development Fund programmes. It is expected that all three reviews will be completed before the end of the year.
No decision has yet been taken on the areas to be considered in the next round of expenditure reviews. However, in line with Delivering Better Government, the aim is to review each programme of expenditure at least once every three years.
