Question:

120 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Defence the total number of military quarters in use; whether any of these premises are in need of refurbishment; the projected cost and time schedule for this; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13181/98]

Approximately 2,200 military quarters are occupied at present. The condition of these quarters is kept under review and refurbishment and routine maintenance are undertaken as circumstances require and the availability of resources permits.
