Vol. 492 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

John Perry

Question:

136 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will have arrangements made to have a person (details supplied) in County Sligo called for immediate treatment in view of the fact that he has a serious illness and was already admitted to the hospital but was released as there was no bed available; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13541/98]

The provision of medical treatment in this case is a matter for the hospital concerned. I have asked the chief executive officer of the hospital to investigate the position in relation to this matter and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
