Vol. 492 No. 1

Written Answers. - Newspaper Advertising.

Derek McDowell

Question:

167 Mr. McDowell asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will outline the expenditure on advertising for 1997 in each of the national daily, evening and Sunday newspapers, by his Department and bodies under his aegis in receipt of Exchequer funds which are established by or under an Act of the Oireachtas. [13426/98]

The information sought is not readily available and its compilation in relation to the Department would involve a disproportionate amount of time and work. In relation to the bodies referred to, expenditure on advertising is an administrative function for which the Department has no responsibility.
