230 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Education and Science when a decision will be made on the application made by Bishopstown Community School on behalf of a person (details supplied) in order to allow him undergo his Junior Certificate with audio aids or alternatively that he would be allowed a departmental assistant to read the examination papers for him in view of the difficulties that he has. This application and all relevant information was fully considered by the psychological service of my Department. The principal of Bishopstown community school was notified of the outcome by letter dated 5 June 1998.
