Question:

230 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Education and Science when a decision will be made on the application made by Bishopstown Community School on behalf of a person (details supplied) in order to allow him undergo his Junior Certificate with audio aids or alternatively that he would be allowed a departmental assistant to read the examination papers for him in view of the difficulties that he has. [13356/98]

This application and all relevant information was fully considered by the psychological service of my Department. The principal of Bishopstown community school was notified of the outcome by letter dated 5 June 1998.
