Vol. 492 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Question:

69 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the position with the allocation of agri-tourism grants; the funding, if any, still available under this scheme; and the plans, if any, he has to ensure this scheme is continued. [13423/98]

Of the total funding of £7 million made available to the agri-tourism scheme under the Operational Programme for Agriculture, Rural Development and Forestry, £2.8 million has been spent up to the beginning of June 1998 and the balance has been fully committed.

The continuation of the scheme will be considered in the context of the next national development plan for the period 2000-6.
