Vol. 492 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Creed

Question:

72 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork has not received his 1997 cattle headage payment in view of the fact that queries from the area aid unit have been replied to twice. [13328/98]

Maps issued to the person concerned and were returned on 3 June 1998. These maps are being processed and any outstanding payments will issue as soon as this processing is completed.

Paul Bradford

Question:

74 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in payment of 1997 area aid to persons (details supplied) in County Cork; his views on whether this delay is acceptable; the measures, if any, he is taking to improve the process; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13331/98]

The maps in respect of the land declared by the first named applicant are being processed at present. When this processing has been completed and the area aid application has been finalised any outstanding payments will then issue.

The area aid application of the second named applicant has been fully processed and cleared for payment. Any outstanding payments will issue in the near future.

Maps have issued to the third named applicant who should complete and return them as a matter of urgency in order to have his application finalised.
