296 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason the contract between Esat and his Department has not been published and is considered classified and confidential; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14260/98]

The position in relation to this matter is that the contract concluded with Esat Digifone contains information that is commercially sensitive to the company and it would, therefore, not be appropriate for me to publish it, as suggested by the Deputy.
