Vol. 492 No. 6

Written Answers. - Inland Waterways.

Andrew Boylan

Question:

49 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the plans, if any, she has to dredge the waterway at Dowra, County Cavan, in order that cruises using the Ballinamore to Ballyconnell waterway have access to Dowra; and the plans, if any, she has to construct berthing bays to enhance the tourism potential of the village. [14574/98]

Extension of navigation from Lough Allen to Dowra, County Cavan, is not included in the current EU Operational Programme for Tourism and I do not, therefore, have any plans at present to carry out the works in question.
