Written Answers. - School Staffing.

Andrew Boylan

Question:

494 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason a national teacher (details supplied) is not being retained in Ballyhaise national school, County Cavan, in view of his dedication to his pupils and his interest in the local community; his views on whether his departure will put further stress and pressure on the other teaching staff members; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16325/98]

I can inform the Deputy that Ballyhaise national school, County Cavan is not due to lose a teaching post for the 1998-99 school year. According to my Department's records, the teacher mentioned by the Deputy is not a member of the teaching staff of Ballyhaise national school.
