66 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources whether an audit has been carried out of oil, gas and other mineral deposits inland or offshore in recent times; if so, the results, if any, in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16513/98]

My Department and the Geological Survey of Ireland hold large volumes of information on all matters relating to oil, gas and other mineral deposits. This information is continually updated in the light of developments. I would be glad to arrange a briefing for the Deputy should he so wish.
