Vol. 494 No. 3

Ceisteanna — Questions.

Before we commence Priority Questions, I would like to remind Members that under a sessional order adopted today, the arrangements for taking Priority Questions of the last session have been extended for a further period until the end of November. Under this procedure there will be 30 minutes overall for Priority Questions and each Priority Question will be given six minutes. The first two minutes will be for the Minister's initial reply and the remaining four minutes for supplementary questions and replies. Strict time limits will be enforced by the Chair and when the four minutes for the supplementary questions or replies are expended I will immediately call the next question. Where two or more Priority Questions are taken together the time limits will be doubled, and so on. I would ask Members to co-operate with the Chair in observing the strict time limits imposed by the sessional order.
