102 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Health and Children if the case of a person (details supplied) in County Waterford will be examined in view of the fact he is a long-term hospital patient and has been informed that he will have to wait two years for a hearing test; and if he will provide additional staff and funding to ensure that lengthy delays do not occur. The provision of hospital services to eligible persons in County Waterford, in this instance, is the statutory responsibility of the South-Eastern Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
