Vol. 494 No. 6

Written Answers. - Visa Applications.

Liz McManus

Question:

122 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his Department will grant an application for a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow to enable his brother to have an Irish education; if it will assist his application if he wishes to attend a fee-paying school; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19011/98]

I am not aware that a visa application has been made in respect of the individual referred to.

An application can be submitted to the nearest Irish Embassy or Consulate or alternatively the application may be lodged with the Department of Foreign Affairs in Dublin. The application would then be processed in line with the student visa requirements, a copy of which I will forward separately to the Deputy.
