Payment of the advance of 80 per cent under the 1998 suckler cow premium scheme, based on his suckler cow quota, has now issued to the person named.
He will be paid his entitlement under the 1998 beef cow scheme within the next seven days.

The applicant's REPS application includes commonage land, the acceptance of which is dependent upon availability of a commonage framework plan. The new revised REP scheme requires that a framework plan be drawn up for each commonage. The preparation of the framework plan will be carried out under the supervision of my Department and the Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands.
It will take some time before framework plans will be available for all commonages and both my Department and the Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands are examining ways which would permit farmers with commonage land to participate in the new revised REP scheme in advance of the commonage framework plans being put in place.
