Vol. 496 No. 3

Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

306 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the proposals, if any, he has to provide a sewerage system at Cheekpoint, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22352/98]

Contract documents for this scheme have been submitted to my Department. Given the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage services investment programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve them.

Liam Lawlor

Question:

307 Mr. Lawlor asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position in relation to financing phase 2 of the Camac river improvement scheme in the context of his Department's 1999 programme of works for water services and in view of the recent reported floodings in the Cherrywood area of Clondalkin, Dublin 22, following heavy rainfall. [22495/98]

This scheme will, along with all other scheme proposals before the Department, be further considered in the context of the 1999 water and sewerage services investment programme.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

308 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if the contract documents for Brosna water scheme, County Kerry, will be signed within the next two weeks; if not, when they will be signed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22505/98]

Following technical examination of a further report on the tenders received for the scheme submitted by the local authority, the local authority has been advised that the report is not adequate, and that a full revised report should be submitted.
