136 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the number of legislative measures to be implemented within her Department to complete the EU Single Market legislative programme (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [23595/98]
There are ten EU directives outstanding relevant to my Department's area of responsibility which were due for implementation on or before 31 December 1998 under the EU Single Market Legislative Programme. I am aware of the necessity to progress transposition of these directives into Irish law as expeditiously as possible.
