337 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the number of legislative measures to be implemented within his Department to complete the EU Single Market legislative programme (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23600/98]

With regard to the EU Single Market legislative programme, ten legislative measures remain to be fully implemented by my Department on or before 31 December 1998. Work is in hand to transpose these measures into Irish law as soon as possible.
