Vol. 496 No. 6

Written Answers - Departmental Transport.

John McGuinness

Question:

371 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the procedure observed in seeking quotations for the respraying of all road going vehicles located at the Kilkenny Dúchas depot; if the quotation included the provision of her Department's logo; and if this cost has been included in the quotations considered if the work is not being carried out in County Kilkenny. [23792/98]

The standard practice for the procurement of works of this nature by Government Departments was adhered to in this case. The quotations received and considered provided for the respraying of all road going vehicles in the Kilkenny Dúchas depot in the official livery and the affixing thereto of my Department's logo.

The respraying work is not being carried out in County Kilkenny as the successful tenderer is not from this county.
