Question:

240 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of persons who died from prostate cancer in each of the years from 1995 to date. [24574/98]

Data on mortality are routinely published in the annual and quarterly reports on vital statistics compiled by the Central Statistics Office. The most recent figures available refer to the second quarter of 1998 and are set out in the following table addition to data relating to 1995, 1996 and 1997.
