249 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children his views on whether the renal dialysis service in Sligo general hospital is adequate in view of the fact the service offers dialysis to approximately 20 out-patients on three sessions per week; the plans, if any, he has to include new facilities in the overall capital package for the hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I propose to take Questions Nos. 249, 251, 254 and 255 together.

My Department has received a number of proposals from the North-Western Health Board regarding the development of the above mentioned services at Sligo general hospital. These will be considered further in the context of funding available for development in 1999 and subsequent years.
