403 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will increase funding for 1999 under the youth services grant allocation to Macra na Feirme in view of the fact that the 1998 allocation has remained at 1997 levels; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24717/98]

The application for funding in 1999 in respect of Macra na Feirme will be considered in due course and will have regard to policy considerations, existing commitments, and the overall level of financial resources available to youth services.
