152 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a sheep premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; if urgent payment of this premium will be made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24566/98]

The herdowner lodged an appeal on 17 July 1998 concerning his 1997 ewe premium application. Appeals are dealt with in the order in which they are received and require individual examination. This appeal will be examined in due course and the herdowner will be notified of the outcome.
