153 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of beef processors who have utilised the comprehensive intervention supports available in order to assist the recovering cattle prices. [24577/98]

There are three main market supports available to beef processors-traders, that is, export refunds, aids to private storage and public intervention (beef purchasing). The numbers of beef processors-traders who have availed of these supports during 1998 to date are as follows:
