Question:201 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will give approval before the end of 1998 for the construction of two classrooms at Ransboro national school, County Sligo. [27912/98]

The school authorities recently applied for additional accommodation at Ransboro national school. My Department's planning section is currently examining the long-term accommodation requirements of the school and when this examination is complete, a decision on the request will be made having regard to the urgency of the works and the availability of capital funding.
