268 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will approve the submission from Mayo County Council for the new sewerage scheme at Killala, County Mayo, and also an extension to this to incorporate the acres area. [2684/99]
The scheme is included in my Department's 1999 water and sewerage services investment programme as a scheme to be advanced through planning. The acres area is included in the local authority's preliminary report, which will be considered further by my Department on receipt of the results of the marine outfall survey for the scheme from the authority.
