Question:

343 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has received a submission from Dysart national school, County Westmeath, in relation to the provision of a new school in view of the fact that the current school accommodation is in need of urgent upgrading and refurbishment; the action, if any, his Department is taking to address the problems outlined in the submission; the intentions in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2527/99]

An application has been received by my Department from the management of Dysart National School for improvement works.

The case is currently under consideration and my Department will be in touch with the school in the matter.
