141 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will have his application for a forestry plantation approved; and if the application will be expedited in view of the length of time that he is seeking inspection and approval. [2710/99]

Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources (Dr. Woods):

An application from the person in question for approval to plant under the CAP afforestation scheme is currently being processed by the forest service of my Department. I have directed that a decision in this case can be given as quickly as possible.
