Vol. 500 No. 4

Written Answers. - Child Care Services.

Jack Wall

Question:

260 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the case of persons (details supplied) in County Donegal in relation to the care of their baby girl; if this case has been investigated; if not, if he will have it investigated based on the evidence (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4202/99]

I am aware of the case referred to by the Deputy. The position is that court proceedings, which will be held in camera, are pending under the Child Care Act, 1991. The Deputy will appreciate that it is not appropriate for me to intervene in any matter which is currently before the courts.
