Vol. 500 No. 4

Written Answers. - Garda Investigations.

John Gormley

Question:

326 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the plans, if any, he has to make the files relating to the Dublin and Monaghan bombings in 1974 available to the families of the victims; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4007/99]

I refer the Deputy to my reply to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 389 and 390 of 15 December, 1998.

I understand that Mr. Wilson, the Victims Commissioner, has consulted with the victims and relatives of victims of the Dublin Monaghan bombings on a number of occasions in the course of his work and that he hopes to be in a position to submit his report towards the end of this month.
