Vol. 500 No. 4

Written Answers. - Garda Stations.

John Perry

Question:

336 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his attention has been drawn to the derelict condition that exists in Riverstown Garda station, County Sligo; if his attention has further been drawn to the fact that the private accommodation is uninhabitable; the plans, if any, in place to refurbish it; the amount of funds that have been allocated; when the necessary work will be carried out; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4102/99]

The Minister has been informed by the Garda authorities that the Garda housing officer will visit Riverstown Garda station shortly to establish, in consultation with the Office of Public Works, whether the existing premises can be refurbished at reasonable cost to cater for the future Garda needs in the area.
