370 Mr. M. Higgins asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will sanction a special grant to enable Scoil Chaitríona, Renmore, Galway, to be brought up to a satisfactory heating and structural standard as requested by the parents, teachers, board of management and others; and if he will make a statement on the matter. An application for grant aid towards improvement works was received from the board of management of Scoil Chaitríona on 5 February 1999. This application has been forwarded to my Department's technical advisers for their report. When this report is completed, a decision will be taken on the best way to address the problems being experienced by this school. The board of management will be kept informed of developments.
