Question:

99 Ms Shortall asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the entries in the diary of the Cabinet Minister in her Department for 1 February 1989. [4048/99]

On 1 February 1989 the functions now discharged by my Department were discharged by the Departments of Industry and Commerce and Labour respectively. My reply therefore refers to the diaries of the Ministers for those two Departments. The entries are as follows:
